Every teacher is a teacher of reading. As we read The Book Whisperer, let's think about our own classrooms and students - and our own philosophies of the best way to help students become lifelong readers.
I think this thought will become even more important as we make the leap to CC. My hope is that with that change, I will be able to change my classroom so that students are reading because they love to read (or are learning to), as well as to "get the assignment done."
